With a focus on inclusivity, belonging, and transformative leadership, Rev. Dr. Kaiya Jennings, also lovingly referred to as "Dr. K," is an ordained Baptist minister and a professional in higher education. Dr. Kaiya worked for community non-profits for a number of years, where she led retreats, trainings, and seminars on strategic leadership, ministry effectiveness, and sustainability. She has experience working for both local and federal governments. She served in the Office of Chaplaincy at two prominent women's colleges in addition to being a staff pastor for ten years.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 from Virginia State University. She obtained her Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University's Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology. She also holds a second master's degree in religion, culture, and personality from Boston University, which she earned in the spring of 2016.

Dr. Kaiya is the co-host of the Say It Out Loud Podcast, which engages in various topics surrounding current events, faith and the lived experiences of African American women. Dr. Kaiya earned her Doctor of Ministry degree in September 2022 from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC; her doctoral thesis was entitled “All We Had Was God & Each Other: How Black Clergywomen Disrupt Male Dominance and Patriarchal Normativity in the Black Church.”

Currently, she works as an administrative faculty member in the field of Engineering and is an itinerant minister. Rev. Dr. Kaiya Jennings believes that each person, organization and congregation has the power to transform into all that that they were destined to be.
